Programs and Workshops for Educational Institutions
Educating for Happiness: An Introduction to Mindfulness for Schools and Other Educational Institutions
A bilingual program available in English and Spanish
Why Mindfulness Matters in Education
Imagine a classroom where students are more focused, calm, and ready to learn. Research shows that mindfulness can make this a reality. Mindfulness practices have been proven to boost attention, concentration, and academic performance. By strengthening key cognitive skills like focus and working memory, mindfulness helps students absorb and retain information more effectively.
But it doesn’t stop there—mindfulness also equips students with tools to manage stress and navigate challenges with greater resilience. This is especially powerful for learners who may be struggling emotionally or academically.
In short: mindfulness supports both the mind and the heart—creating a more positive, balanced, and successful learning experience.
Objectives of this program
This foundational program is designed for schools and other learning communities looking to introduce mindfulness as a tool for emotional wellbeing, presence, and connection. Through six guided sessions, participants will explore how to bring mindfulness into the classroom and daily life—gently, practically, and with heart.
This program is designed to train both teachers and parents as they are key actors in the students’ education and wellbeing. Children learn to be mindful thanks to their personal practice and, most importantly, through mindful parents and teachers. Mindfulness is transmitted through our mentor’s embodied presence.
